レトロ・フューチャーのアートワークは、アメリカでは良く見られますが、この画像の作品は、1930年から1950年に描かれたイギリスのJohn Russell氏が描いたサイエンスフィクション雑誌（Vargo Statten）の表紙を飾ったものです。内容は未来的な乗り物から宇宙船などとアメリカのSFアートに似たところもありますが、アメリカのSFアート作品とは違った、イギリステイストの壮大なサイエンスフィクションが感じられる作品です。
